Severance is created for the moment you decide to challenge that authority. Smoky grey and black move through Severance’s pale surface like something caught between appearing and disappearing. Each Haunt is individually formed from a fine mineral blend, with its smoky markings, marbling and small variations giving every Severance a character of its own.

Its purpose is established afterwards. As we prepare Severance through our ritual practice, the focus rests on courage, resolve and the release of fear. We set that intention in motion, but we cannot name the fear for you. That part of Severance’s story can only begin with its keeper.

Fear becomes the subject of Severance’s ritual rather than something kept at the edge of it.

You name it aloud. You write it onto a bay leaf. Then, beside your bed, the leaf is deliberately turned away from both you and your Haunt, making release a physical gesture rather than an abstract thought.

The fear has been recognised. What happens next no longer has to belong to it.

Severance’s pale surface is crossed by smoky grey and darker markings that differ naturally from one piece to the next. Their placement, intensity and movement will vary, alongside fine surface details and occasional tiny air bubbles.

Severance will reach you carefully wrapped and protected for its journey.

Before releasing your Haunt from its wrapping, return to its ritual and consider what you would write if a bay leaf were already in front of you. There is no need to make the fear sound reasonable, impressive or easy to overcome. It only needs to be yours.

When you are ready to name it, unwrap Severance and begin.
