About Haunts
General Questions About Haunts
Each Haunt is individually formed from a fine mineral blend in England. Small variations in colour, pattern, texture and finish mean no two will look completely identical. These differences aren’t faults; they’re part of the character of a handmade piece. The design and intention of each Haunt remain consistent, while the finer details make the one you receive uniquely yours. You can discover more about Haunts and what makes them unique.
Haunts are handmade sigils, much more than decorative ornaments, although you can, of course, enjoy them as a simple figurine if that is what you prefer, or you can explore all eight Haunts in the Apothecary.
Not at all. Some people are drawn to Haunts because of their intentions and rituals, while others simply love their appearance, story or meaning. There is no particular belief you need to hold in order to own one. You can engage with the spiritual side as much or as little as feels right for you, or simply keep your Haunt as a handmade decorative piece with a story behind it. If you’d like to explore that side further, you can learn more about Haunt rituals and their meaning.
Your Haunt can live wherever feels right to you, whether that’s beside your bed, on a shelf, at your desk or somewhere connected to its intention. As a handmade decorative ornament, it is designed for indoor display. Choose a stable surface where it is unlikely to be knocked or dropped, and avoid exposing it unnecessarily to conditions that could damage its finish.
Haunts require very little care. Keep yours indoors on a stable surface and handle it carefully to protect its handmade finish. If dust collects over time, gently wipe it with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth rather than using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. With simple care, your Haunt can remain with you long after its ritual has been completed.
Choosing Your Haunt
Finding the Haunt That Feels Right
Start with what feels most relevant in your life right now. Each of the eight Haunts is connected to a different intention, so you might be drawn to something you want to welcome or strengthen, or something you feel ready to acknowledge and release. You don’t need to find a perfect answer. Explore all eight Haunts in the Apothecary, read their meanings and notice which intention, story or Haunt you naturally return to.
Think about the direction of your intention rather than which collection sounds more appealing. Light Haunts are centred on what you want to welcome or strengthen, including prosperity, opportunity, love and confidence. Shadow Haunts focus on acknowledging and symbolically releasing sorrow, anxiety, guilt or fear. If both feel relevant, you don’t have to choose between the collections forever. Begin with what feels most important to you now.
No. The intention gives each Haunt its meaning and shapes the ritual that accompanies it, but it doesn’t have to be the only reason you choose one. You might feel connected to a particular story, appearance or name before its intention resonates with you. There is no test to pass or wrong way to choose. The Haunts are designed to be personal, so what draws you towards one can be part of its meaning to you.
Yes. Each Haunt has its own individual intention, so different Haunts can represent different things in your life. You might be drawn to a Light Haunt for something you want to strengthen and a Shadow Haunt for something you are ready to release, or find that several intentions become meaningful at different times. Each Haunt has its own ritual, allowing you to approach those intentions individually rather than expecting one Haunt to represent everything.
Haunts are handmade in small batches, so an individual design may occasionally sell out while more are being prepared. A sold-out Haunt hasn’t disappeared from the collection, and you don’t need to choose a different intention simply because another is currently available. If a particular one feels right for you, you can wait for it to return or continue exploring the Haunts Apothecary to see whether another intention speaks to you.
Rituals & Meanings
Understanding Your Haunt Ritual
No. There is no deadline for completing your ritual. You can begin when you have the time and space to give it your attention, whether that’s the day your Haunt arrives or much later. Some people may feel ready immediately, while others prefer to live with their Haunt for a while first. The ritual is intended to be a personal moment, so choosing a time that feels right to you matters more than completing it quickly.
Each Haunt has its own ritual and instructions, and what you need depends on the individual Haunt you have chosen. The rituals may involve simple actions such as writing, speaking, reflecting or using a small symbolic object connected to the intention. You don’t need specialist spiritual knowledge or experience to take part. You can learn more about how Haunt rituals work before beginning yours.
That’s completely fine. The ritual is there for you to use if it feels meaningful, not as a requirement for owning or enjoying your Haunt. You can connect with its story and intention without completing the ritual, or simply keep it as a handmade ghost figurine and decorative piece. There is no right or wrong level of involvement, and choosing not to perform a ritual doesn’t make your Haunt any less yours.
Your ritual can remain personal to you, and there is no requirement to repeat it on a particular schedule. If returning to the ritual or its intention feels meaningful at another point, you can revisit it in a way that makes sense to you. Equally, you may prefer to complete it once and allow that single moment to mark your intention. Haunt rituals aren’t about following rigid rules or performing something perfectly.
Your Haunt stays with you. Completing the ritual doesn’t mean its purpose is finished or that you need to dispose of it. You can continue displaying it wherever feels appropriate, allowing it to become a physical reminder of the intention, reflection or moment of release associated with it. Over time, what your Haunt represents to you may develop too, giving the piece a meaning that extends beyond the ritual itself.

Gifting
Giving a Haunt to Someone Else
Think about the person and the intention you would like the gift to carry. A Light Haunt may suit something you hope they will welcome or strengthen, such as prosperity, opportunity, love or confidence. A Shadow Haunt can be more personal, as its intentions centre on grief, anxiety, guilt and fear, so it’s best chosen when you know its meaning will feel appropriate. Our Haunt gifting guide can help you choose with the person and occasion in mind.
Yes. You can place an order for a Haunt and have it delivered directly to the recipient by entering their address as the delivery address during checkout. Make sure their details are entered accurately so the parcel can reach them without unnecessary delays. If you’re sending a Haunt straight to someone else, you can also add a personal gift message to make the parcel feel more personal when it arrives.
Yes. You can add a gift message during checkout when ordering a Haunt for someone else. This gives you a chance to explain why you chose that particular Haunt, share a few personal words or simply let the recipient know who sent it. Your message accompanies the gift without changing the individual meaning or ritual belonging to the Haunt itself.
The recipient will receive the handmade Haunt you selected, carefully wrapped and protected for its journey. Each of the eight Haunts has its own intention and ritual, which they can discover for themselves after their gift arrives. The experience is designed to let the recipient explore its meaning in their own way rather than requiring you to explain everything beforehand.
They don’t need to know anything about Haunts before opening their gift. They can discover their Haunt, its intention and what comes next in their own time, and explore the ritual whenever they feel ready.
