Every Haunt begins with an intention, but where its story goes next belongs to the person who receives it. The Vault is a collection of those stories, the moments, memories and meanings that became part of something much more personal.

BEYOND THE RITUAL

How a Haunt Finds an Afterlife of its Own

Every Haunt leaves the Apothecary charged up with intention and with instructions for the ritual. But that is only the start. Once it meets its keeper, its meaning becomes something entirely personal between the two of you.

It may remind you of a person, a turning point, a triumph over adversity or a goal in progress. It could be simply a feeling, a memory or the vessel for the change it was chosen for.

The stories kept within The Vault are glimpses of what happened next. Shared by the people who welcomed a Haunt into their lives, each one is different, because no two Haunts are carried forward in quite the same way.

A few weeks ago, I got the Shadow Haunt Absolution. For 25 years, I have been carrying a huge burden of guilt, which was affecting me and often drove me to tears. Since receiving this and doing the ritual, I have felt so much lighter and am beginning to realise that the guilt was unjustified. I feel so much better.

I received Fortuna from Haunts. I did the ritual, and I can honestly say that my life is improving in lots of ways. Health, relationships, confidence. It’s made a big difference to my life and really is working. I now always keep it close to me in the sitting room. It is also a really cute thing to display.

I got this before my uni exams and kept it on my desk while I was revising. My exams went really well. I’m not sure whether it was the ghost or all the revising, but I passed! I have always been a very spiritual person and love the idea of some extra help! It’s been great having this little ghost in my corner.

I was given this after losing my dad. The writing part was a good idea. I wrote some things I couldn’t say out loud which felt surprisingly emotional. I’m really glad I got it, even if I was a bit upset when I did the ritual. I sometimes talk to it now when I remember my dad and I feel like it is helping with my grief.

A good friend gifted me Requiem because they knew I was going through a really difficult time dealing with grief and loss. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and something I needed. I did the ritual, and since then, I've felt a sense of peace. I now keep my little Haunt close to me wherever I go, as a reminder of how far I've come.
